Privacy Policy and Data Protection Notice

This translation is provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Turkish version prevails.

This notice explains which personal data is processed when you visit rayrobotics.org, in accordance with Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK). The site is an informational website introducing RAY Robotics, the FIRST Robotics Competition team of Gazi Anadolu High School.

1. In short

  • The site has no accounts, forms, comments or payments; we do not ask you for any information.
  • We do not use advertising, analytics (e.g. Google Analytics) or tracking cookies.
  • We do not sell, rent or share your data for marketing purposes.

2. Data processed

Server and security logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. On every visit, technical information sent by your browser (IP address, browser and device type, requested page, date and time) is processed by Cloudflare to deliver the site, detect errors and protect against attacks, and is stored for a short period.

Font (Google Fonts)

The Inter font used on this site is loaded from Google Fonts servers. In doing so, your IP address and browser information are sent to Google. For details, see the Google Privacy Policy.

Contact by email

When you write to rayfrcteam@gmail.com, your name, email address and the content of your message are used only to reply to you and to consider your request (joining, sponsorship, collaboration, etc.). This mailbox is hosted by Google (Gmail).

Preference stored in your browser

Your light/dark theme preference is stored only in your own browser (localStorage, key tema). It is not sent to us or anywhere else; you can delete it by clearing your browser data.

Photos

The gallery contains photos of our team’s work. Before publication, photos are stripped of embedded data such as location and device information. If you appear in a photo, or are the parent or guardian of someone who does, and would like it removed, simply email us; your request will be handled as soon as possible.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

Data is processed to operate and secure the site, to answer your enquiries and to present the team. The legal grounds are legitimate interest, necessity for fulfilling a request under Article 5(2) of the KVKK and, where required, explicit consent (e.g. photos).

4. Transfers

The servers of the service providers mentioned above (Cloudflare, Google) may be located outside Türkiye; technical data may therefore be transferred abroad. Otherwise, your data is not shared with third parties unless required by law.

5. Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your data is processed, to request information, to request correction or deletion, to learn to whom it has been transferred and to object to its processing. You can send your requests to rayfrcteam@gmail.com.

6. Changes

This notice may be updated when necessary. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the latest change shown at the top.
